We decided to proceed this way rather then argue over historical possibilities of which there are an endless amount, most being just hearsay and tomfoolery. Rules and Regulations governing the proper account of record breaks

Section 1.  Regarding verification of record break

A record can only be considered broken when the following verifications are present:

  • The record breaking event is recorded via video or photo documentation.
  • Visual observation from an accredited source. Preferably a member of the family.
  • The attempter does not violate any of the disqualification stipulations listed in section 2.
     
Section 2. Disqualifications
A record breaking attempt will be nullified if any of the following guidelines are violated:
  • The attempter must be in clear site of the official observer during the full duration of the attempt.
  • The attempter cannot eat only one portion of a meal that is intended to be enjoyed in its entirety.
    • Example: Meatballs must be enjoyed within the context of a standard size bowl of noodles with red sauce or on a regulation size sub roll (cheese optional).
  • At no time will the attempter be able to "Make more room in his/her stomach" by any means other then jumping up and down.
  • The attempter must not involve the trashcan or domesticated animals in the consumption of record breaking food.
