Auntie Carol was really Carol Patton, a dear friend of our Aunt Rita and Uncle Bob, and not really an aunt. Her humor and recipes keep her warmly in our memories.


1 whole bottle chili sauce
1 can beer
1 lb(s) brown sugar
2 whole cans Franco American beef gravy
3 lb(s) ground round
1 pkg fresh parsley
1 cup Italian bread crumbs
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 whole eggs
3 tbsp Parmesan cheese

Combine first 4 ingredients to create sauce, set on low heat over burner.
For the meatballs, mix the meat thoroughly with the remaining ingredients.
Roll meat into small balls (golf ball size).
Bake meatballs for 6 minutes Add baked meatballs to sauce.
Simmer combination for 1 hour.
