Winner of the Autumn Festival 2006 Apple Pie Baking Contest, This recipe takes all other apple pie recipes to the wheelhouse for a good old fashion cross-the-knee whoopin.

Ingredients:

2 cup All purpose Flour
2/3 cup Butter-Flavored Crisco
7 tbsp Cold Water
8-9 whole Medium Apples (combine Granny S. Gala and Gold Del.)
1 cup Granulated Sugar
1/4 cup All Purpose Flour
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/3 cup Granulated Sugar
6 tbsp Butter (Room Temp)
1 tbsp Cinnamon
3/4 cup All Purpose Flour

Preheat oven to 350.
First 3 Ingredients - Combine Flour and shortening in a covered bowl.
Shake Bowl until ingredients crumble.
Add Water.
Shake until ball is formed.
Roll 1/8 inch to fit 10 in pan.
Trim and Crimp.
Next Four Ingredients - Peel, core and slice apples.
(store in water and lemon juice to keep crisp) Drain and mix apples with flour, sugar and cinnamon in bag and shake.
transfer to pastry lined pan.
Last Four Ingredients - Combine until mixture resembles crumbles.
Sprinkle over apple mix.
Cook for 75 minutes or until apples are tender.
Let cool.
